Poblacion is the old town centre of Makati, and over the last decade it turned into the city’s nightlife district. Renovated walk-ups and small condos sit above bars, speakeasies and restaurants that fill up after dark. It draws a younger, more transient crowd than the villages a few streets away, and the trade-off is noise.
