The Mall of Asia complex is reclaimed land on Manila Bay, developed as a single district around one very large mall. Offices, arenas and residential towers were added on the same plan, and the whole area is newer and more open than the older Pasay streets behind it. The bay is on the doorstep and so is the airport.
